We had shutters installed on all the windows of our condo yesterday and we couldn’t be happier. They look great. The construction and the mechanism are very solid. The sales and measurement team were great. Installation of 18 windows and doors took less than 5 hours and was very professional. We had a French door and some kitchen windows that required special treatment but the designs they came up with fit perfectly. We can’t recommend Villa Shutters highly enough.

High quality service
I love the blinds that I got from Villa Blind and Shutter. I don’t have to do a whole lot of cleaning for them and sometimes I can leave them halfway open on the top and leave the bottom shut. Wonderful service!

Great company and product
I used Villa Blind an Shutter to replace every blind in my rental property. The owner came out promptly to measure and give me a quote. Always been very friendly
Villa Blind and Shutter came out and did shutters throughout my home as well as some French door covers. The guy who came out to do the work helped me understand the process and different types of shutters. When the manufacturer came out, I thought that was very efficient.
One of my dogs like to jump on the door covers but Villa is very good to respond to me, come out, and fix the doors when they break. They’re quick to respond to my requests and treat me the same now as when I first bought their products.

I used Villa Blind and Shutter to provide shutters for all of the rooms in my house. The selection they had to choose from was good. I’ve been receiving tons of compliments since the installation.

Today we installed 17 Roman Shades in a beautiful house in Rancho Santa Margarita. We went to Norman Window Fashions for their great color selection, price point and then felt like the client really got a bonus.

Norman has an incredible Roman Shade feature, a cordless automated lift system called AeroLite, this very nifty automatic lift will, with a gentle downward pull triggers a slow raise of the shade. The handle is on the back. See the photo below. It’s got a beautiful lining, so it looks good from the outside as well. Comes in hobbled, which they call a soft fold.

How much do plantation shutters cost?

There are four factors that determine the cost of plantation shutters.
1.How many square feet of shutters do you need
2.Brand and type of materials you want
3.Options and upgrades
4.Location (labor costs, shipping, cost of living and completion by geographic location)

Plantation Shutters Cost vs. Blinds Shades Cost

Typically interior shutters prices are more than blind prices. Blinds and shades are considered a temporary window covering and interior plantation shutters are permanent. Historically consumers replace their blinds and shades every 7 years. If a quality plantation shutter lasts the lifetime of a home, then a homeowner would have purchased new window treatments around 4 plus times.

Plantation shutters are the only window covering that truly adds value to the home. Short term blinds are less expensive but long term plantation shutters cost much less.

Design ideas using split Hidden Tilt

Split Hidden Tilt is a design option that allows light conntrol and privacy seperate for the top and bottom Louvers of your shutter.

Villa utilizes this feature a lot.  It is very effective and a no cost to you.

The HIDDEN TILT BAR (as opposed to the standard front tilt rod), and as you see above you may choose to have the Louvers controlled separately for the top and bottom, by asking for a Split Hidden Tilt, this allows for excellent light control and privacy. Split Hidden Tilt is a feature that allows control of the louvers seperate for the top and lower louvers.  And Hidden means the control arm is mounted in the back of the panel.
